First Career Motocross Overall Win - Perfect Day at High Point
This one means so much. First career motocross overall win, pole position, 1-1 moto scores - a perfect day. Hard to put into words how much this means.
I went quickest in qualifying, pole position for the second week in a row. The bike felt dialled and the confidence is building.
Moto 1 I got a good start but the first couple of laps were hectic. Heaps of guys storming through and found myself back in 5th by the end of lap one. Kitchen went down ahead and I was able to capitalize on that. From there it was a case of hunting them down one by one. Got the pass for 3rd with 18 minutes left, then moved into 2nd a few minutes later. Beaumer went down and I got the pass into the lead with just over 10 minutes to go. Held it clean to the finish. P1.
Moto 2 I got the wholeshot, my first of the outdoor season and honestly something I've been putting in serious work to fix. Right as we got going the rain started coming down, but it didn't matter. Got out front, built a solid lead and never looked back. P1 again.

Four moto wins in my first six starts - apparently that's the most since Christophe Pourcel in 2009, and the most ever on the day of a first career motocross win since timed qualifying began. Stuff like that is hard to process in the moment, but it shows the work is paying off. The starts have been something I've really focused on and getting the wholeshot in Moto 2 was mean to see it come together. A perfect day is a perfect day.

Onwards to Red Bud - the goal is simple, more of the same.
