Pro Debut at Anaheim 1

What a night at Anaheim 1. Making my pro debut in front of a sold-out crowd at Angel Stadium was unreal. It’s something I’ve dreamed about for a long time, and to finally be out there under the lights was pretty special.
The day started off strong. I qualified sixth and managed to grab the holeshot in my heat race, which was mean. I finished second in that one, so I was feeling good heading into the main.
Unfortunately, I went down on the first lap and got caught up with my teammate, which wasn’t ideal. I got going again back in 20th and just put my head down, focusing on hitting my marks and making passes. I worked my way back to eighth by the flag.
There’s a lot to take away from the weekend. I learned a ton about race craft and managing the intensity of a night show like that. I’m stoked with how I felt on the bike, and I know there’s more in the tank. Time to regroup and keep building, eyes forward to San Diego!
