Salt Lake City Shootout WIN – Redemption Complete!
The final race of the 2026 Supercross Championship had arrived at Salt Lake City. The same town that took me down last year. It was special to be back here for redemption. With the pressure off and the championship already wrapped up, it was all in.

Qualifying was tight, from P1 to P8 we were all within the same second. I finished both sessions in P3, which set us up nicely for the night show.

The East Heat was a shorter one. I tucked up the inside of the first turn after a pretty average jump out of the gate and was 4th after lap 1. The track was pretty slick and not a lot of lines had formed up, which made it difficult to pass. With 3 minutes to go, I moved into 3rd, then got around Landon and moved into 2nd with two laps remaining. Finished P2.

The East vs West Shootout was wild! I got a fairly decent jump off the start. Hayden pulled up pretty early and I managed to sneak around the outside of turn 1. I was sitting 3rd after the first couple of turns and just wanted to settle in and find my groove. I could see Max and Hayden going at it and I knew I was catching them both.

With around 10 minutes to go, I got around Max and focused on reeling Hayden in. I saw him make a pretty big mistake through the whoops. When I saw him jumping through them, I knew it was on.

I made a run at it and we almost came together in the sand. I knew it was going to be a battle. With 7 minutes remaining, he left the door open on the left bowl turn after the start straight and I threw it in there, we came together pretty hard. Damn, the crowd went wild, it was so loud!

I knew it wasn't done though. Hayden threw it up the inside of me, we came together, and fortunately for me Hayden went down and I could ride on to claim the shootout.

That was a crazy race. I didn't get off to a great start but I made it happen. The pressure was off this weekend so I could come out and ride full gas. It was really fun racing like that with Hayden – back and forward, cat and mouse.
