The one the got away in Denver!

Man, that one stings.
I came into Denver feeling confident and ready to go after a third straight win. Everything was clicking from the start – I qualified fifth, then pulled the holeshot in my heat and led every lap to get my third heat race win of the season. The boys and I swept the top four, which was pretty mean, and I locked in P1 gate pick for the main.
In the final, I got out front early again and led most of the race. I was feeling good, riding smart, and doing everything I could to bring it home. But with two laps to go, things got tight with lappers and I came together with my teammate. It knocked me off track and by the time I regrouped, I had to settle for fifth.
I really wanted that win today, and I hate that it ended like that. I shouldn’t have put myself in that position, and it bums me out to be raced that way, especially when we were both running up front. But that’s racing, and I’ll learn from it.
There’s still one more round to go in Salt Lake, and I’m coming in with something to prove.
Thanks to everyone backing me through the highs and lows – I appreciate all the support more than you know.
